We’ve experimented with many different ways of cooking over the years and one of our favourites is cooking using natural fuels.
We all enjoy a BBQ and we’ll regularly have BBQ’s at the George, but our favourite has to be our wood fired oven!
We make our own dough at least once a week and have regular pizza nights (Thursdays) but a wood oven is not just for breads and pizzas, it’s a great way to cook so many dishes. Fish, meats and roasted vegetables are given a smoky flavour from the oven and we regularly offer a selection of fine dishes cooked in this way.
